Board Nominations

We want to thank everyone who has contacted us in volunteering for positions on next years board and committees.  However, we are still in need of filling several positions.  Don’t be shy!  If you have an interest in helping the band, please let us know, so you can be considered as a possible nominee.

Our board rules state that a board position can only be held by the same person for 2 years, so we need new parents stepping up to help.  Thank you for your interest in volunteering and helping with our kids, and creating an outstanding band.  All nominations need to be finalized before our next meeting which will be held on March 9th.

Band Trip

Basic information is that the band will be departing from Madison High School on the afternoon of June 8th and returning on the 14th. Charter buses provided by Daisy Tours, and lodging to be at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Hotel Details here

Fundraising!

With the Band Trip fast approaching, keep an eye out for upcoming Fund Raising Events! These fund raising opportunities are a great way to make the Band Trip affordable! 

The Gold Canyon Candle Fund Raiser has ended. Be on the look out for the last scheduled fund raiser, Coca Cola sales, to begin soon!

Concessions

Softball Concessions is upon us!  We share responsibilities of this with Johnson, but then do not do any other concessions during the Spring.  We have one to two night commitments per week starting next week for about 12 weeks.  There was some great help tonight at the meeting.  These are our immediate needs

 
February 24, Wednesday night, we need one more person.
 
February 26, Friday all day, we need the following shifts:
8:30-12:00: 2 people
12:00-3:30: 4 people
3:30-7:00: 2 people
 
March 1, Monday night, we need one more person
 
March 12, Friday night, we need one more person
 
Basic Information:  The games are played on the fields in front of Wood Middle School over on Judson Road.  There are two softball concessions stands.  The work is very easy with two people needed.  This is a great opportunity for students to get service hours.
 
When you signup, you help to open the stand, work it, then close the stand by the end of the 6th inning of the second game. Jesus or Doug will meet you to open and close the stand and to give you the till.  If you cannot be there at 4:30, but can arrive by 5:30, go ahead and signup and just mark when you can arrive.
